Touring the Tigre Delta

At 5,400 square miles, the Tigre Delta is one of the largest in the world. Among the restaurants, artisan fairs, and outdoor atmosphere, the are many islands off the coast that are a site to see. By boat you can visit the different islands, some with spas, others with cabins, horseback riding, kayaking, etc.

Perfect for day trips or weekend, Tigre is 45 minutes by train outside of Capital. Whether you want to lounge out on the grass drinking mate, or find an island to stay for the weekend, Tigre is a must see while in Buenos Aires.

  • How to get there: 4 main ways.
    • From Retiro train station- 1 hour straight train ride
    • Colectivo line 60 (marked Panam)- 1 1/2 hours
    • Tren de la Costa
    • Commuter boat "Sturla" from Puerto Madero
